Oslo in Black & White

Even though the colours of black and white are not considered as colourful, sometimes they lead us straight to the essence of life and ourselves. In the contract of these simplest and most straightforward colours, we are able to go beyond the vividness that blind us to the truth of our daily life and the environment that we live in but never look closely at.

That is what I was trying to do in this photo-series. The aim of it is to demonstrate the iconic landscape and everyday life of Oslo in the eyes of a foreigner, and the reason why I chose to demonstrate them in this way, i.e. in black and white, is to wipe out all the disturbance they impose on us and go straight to the essence of life itself.
